Really good stay with perfect service

I stayed in a beautiful suite facing the pool with ocean views. The concierge and doormen remembered me even after five years. The housekeeping staff was also very helpful . I found the location perfect, just a short walk to the beach and boardwalk.

I appreciated the convenient underground access between the spa and the hotel. Treatments were wonderful. The bedrooms offered nice open windows, providing fresh air, and a MASSIVE bathroom. It had nice smelling products. I enjoyed the quality of the pool, sauna, steam room, and hamam.
The concierge manners were not what i expected. As i travelled in a group, i felt they didn't offer proper respect at all times. One restaurant recommendation was overpriced and disappointing.

i was charmed by every single detail. we got a complimentary upgraded room. it was super clean. the staff were beyond accommodating and warm. breakfast was over the top, with delicious food.
the hotel needs updating. i found scuffed furniture and peeling wallpaper in the halls. it gave the interior a dated feel. it was disappointing because the exterior was excellent.

i had to call reception to adjust it. That seemed out of date (especially in the middle of the night). complimentary water was also very limited.

I appreciate the friendly and helpful staff. The pool area was relaxing and well kept. I also enjoyed that the hotel location allowed for easy walks along the beach to nearby restaurants. I found it easy to access the train station for visits to Lisbon.
The minibar items seemed too expensive. I expect complimentary water to be more available at this price point.

The check-in process included a helpful tour of the main areas. The staff are professional and also courteous. Requests were addressed immediately and efficiently. Breakfast offered a really good selection of varied items each morning.
